Everything you need to know about using World Book Day tokens

It’s no secret that encouraging your child to read and enjoy books is going to hugely benefit their academic success and learning capabilities. World Book Day, which takes place on the 7th of March of this year, is an important annual event that celebrates all things reading. Children, teachers and bookstore assistants not only have the opportunity to dress up as their favourite literary characters, but an incredible 15 million £1 World Book Day tokens are given out to kids. What’s great about these book tokens is they’re specially made so your child can purchase a new book — or just inspire them to visit their local bookshop and explore. Here’s everything you need to know about how your kids can spend their World Book Day tokens!

What do I need to know about the £1 World Book Day Tokens?

Once your child has received their £1 book token all they need to do is head down to a local bookseller. From there your child can either use their book token to get £1 off any full price book of their choice, or swap it for one of ten exclusive World Book Day Books. Check out the full list. If your child prefers audio books, that’s okay too – just make sure the one they choose is at least £2.99 and they can get £1 off.
